CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical Peels are classified based on how deeply they penetrate the skin layers and include Superficial, Medium-Depth and Deep Peels. The deeper the penetration the greater the overall exfoliation and cellular regeneration.

Our Superficial Express Peels are a great option to address surface issues without downtime or for individuals receiving their first peel.

Our VI Peel offers six medium-depth peel formulations that make significant impact, with manageable downtime, that your Provider can explain to you in depth at your VI Peel Consultation appointment.

Our Express Superficial Chemical Peels use a chemical to remove the top Epidermis layer of the skin down into the Stratum Corneum layer. At HAUS Salon, we use a professional grade level of Lactic Acid (AHA) or a Lactic + Salicylic Acid blend (AHA/BHA). Despite the name, a superficial Chemical Peel does not make your skin noticeably ‘peel’ off. What is noticeable is smoother and brighter skin, revealed underneath the layers removed by the Chemical Peel. This service is beneficial for targeting fine lines and wrinkles and for those looking for deep exfoliation, or reduced hyperpigmentation. It also benefits those with challenges of excess sebum, pore clogging, congestion and breakouts. Your Skin Care Specialist will determine which Chemical Peel and specifically which acid percentage level is best for your skin.

This efficient service for the busy person includes a double-facial cleanse (eye makeup will not be removed in the Face service), a professional grade Chemical Peel, and a thorough skin neutralizing. A final moisturizing, a hydrating post-peel balm and sunscreen protection complete the service. [ 20-25 minutes ]

Ultrasonic or manual-style extractions can be added to these services for an additional $10. Just let your provider know at the time of service if you would like to do so.

EXPRESS SUPERFICIAL CHEMICAL PEEL + PARTIAL DERMAPLANING

This condensed service for the busy person includes a facial cleanse (eye makeup will not be removed) and a Partial Dermaplaning experience followed by a professional grade Chemical Peel. Dermaplaning is the controlled, gentle scraping of the skin on the face to carefully remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells which immediately rejuvenates the skin. Dermaplaning during this service will be on the face only to efficiently and effectively remove about half the depth of our Full Dermaplaning Facials. A final moisturizing, a hydrating post-peel balm and sunscreen protection complete the service. [ 40-45 minutes ]

Ultrasonic or manual-style extractions can be added to this service for an additional $10. Just let your provider know at the time of service if you would like to do so.

    • Use of Accutane in the past 12 months

    • Open lesion or cold sore

    • An active infection in the treatment area

    • Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea or rashes

    • An autoimmune disease such as lupus + scleroderma

    • A viral concern such as HIV or hepatitis

    • Anticoagulants Therapy

    • Melanoma or lesions suspected of malignancy

    • Active sunburn

  • You cannot receive a Chemical Peel if you have had facial waxing within one week prior to the Chemical Peel service. If you are seeing the same HAUS Salon Service Provider for both your facial waxing and your Chemical Peel service and you are aware that the Chemical Peel treatment may not be done over areas that have been waxed it may be possible for you to receive the service. After your Chemical Peel service you must wait one full week before any waxing in facial area can be performed. Tweezing and threading are allowed sooner than one week post-service.

  • You cannot receive a Chemical Peel if you have had Botox, aesthetic fillers, injectables, or laser treatments within two weeks prior to the Chemical Peel service.

  • You cannot receive a Chemical Peel if you have had Microblading/Shading sessions within six weeks prior to the Chemical Peel service. You cannot have a Chemical Peel service within two weeks before starting Microblading/Shading sessions, and you must wait six weeks after the final Microblading touch-up session before receiving a Chemical Peel.

  • You cannot receive a Chemical Peel if you have had aggressive facials that remove the Stratum Corneum layer of the skin either two weeks before or after the date of your Chemical Peel treatment (ie: Hydrafacial, Dermaplaning, Oxygeneo, Chemical Peel)

    AHA’s/BHA’s cannot be combined with High Frequency skin treatments either one week before or after the date of your Chemical Peel treatment.

  • Notify your Esthetician if you have an Aspirin allergy or Salicylic sensitivity. The service can be performed, but they will not be able to use Salicylic Acid on you. They can safely use a Lactic Acid.
