Sciton Laser MOXI Treatment

The Moxi Laser Treatment delivers non-ablative laser energy to revitalize your skin – all within the span of a typical lunch break. This treatment is designed as a preventative skincare treatment to correct the initial signs of sun damage and the appearance of aging skin without downtime. It’s suitable for all skin types and a great treatment to receive all year round. Your provider can combine MOXI with our BBL HEROic Treatment for  more powerful, visible results. 

How it works:

The laser gently resurfaces the skin, targeting early signs of aging and sun damage. It works by delivering controlled energy to the skin’s surface, creating tiny micro-injuries. This process stimulates your skin’s natural healing response promoting the production of collagen and new, healthy skin cells.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You may experience some redness in the treatment area that should resolve within a few hours. You may notice darkening of your pigmented spots, followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Follow this aftercare plan until skin is completely healed – typically one week after the treatment. The skin on your body might take longer to heal, compared to your face. In the unusual case of broken skin or blistering, contact the salon immediately. Keep the affected area moist and avoid direct sunlight. If the treated area is especially warm within the first 12 hours after the treatment, a cold compress or ice pack can be used to provide comfort. If the skin appears red or swollen (sunburn sensation), an icepack can provide comfort, same as Vitamin E or Aloe Vera applied to the treatment area. In rare cases, oral pain relievers, i.e. Extra Strength Tylenol or Advil, may be used. While the skin is healing, avoid anything that will irritate the skin, such as exfoliants, shaving, too hot or too cold water and swimming pools and spas with multiple chemicals/chlorine.

BBL HEROic Treatment

The BBL HEROic is a breakthrough skin rejuvenation treatment that uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to break down pigmented skin cells and close blood vessels. This treatment addresses imperfections on the surface of the skin as well as deep-rooted pigmentation issues.

What is Broadband Light Therapy?

Broadband light (BBL) therapy uses pulsed light to treat a variety of skin concerns. This revolutionary treatment allows you to obtain noticeable results with minimal to no downtime.

How BBL workS:

The absorbed light creates heat, which triggers a healing response in the skin. The heat stimulates the skin to produce more collagen, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The heat collapses the walls of blood vessels, causing the body to reabsorb them, reducing the appearance of redness and effectively treating Rosacea. The BBL HEROic laser features a sapphire cooling system on the end of the applicator, keeping your skin cool and comfortable during your service. The  treatment typically takes about 30  minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Most patients see results in 2–4 weeks.

  • Contraindications:

    Less than 18 years of age

    Open lesion or cold sore - those who have a history of cold sores may want to take an antiviral medication prior to treatment

    An active infection in the treatment area or skin conditions such as dermatitis, rash, or active sunburn

    Eczema

    Active Acne

    Skin related autoimmune disease such as Lupus or Scleroderma

    A viral concern such as HIV or hepatitis

    Medical conditions that alter the wound response such as Diabetes, Cancer, and autoimmune disorders

    Melanoma or lesions suspected of malignancy

    Pregnancy or lactation

    Use of Accutane in the last 12 months

    Recent Ablative Dermal Procedures

    Use of Botox, aesthetic fillers, injectables within 2 weeks before BBL service
