Mary is completely dedicated to creating the perfect haircut. Her focus has always been precision cutting and working with what the hair is naturally already trying to do as well as haircuts that hold themselves up organically, with little styling product necessary. She loves to create a cool, interesting shape using growth patterns and texture as inspiration. She also enjoys a good classic shape with an artsy fringe or a surprise underneath.

Mary simply likes people, and clients really like Mary's infectious personality, too. She is passionate about continually perfecting her craft, which is one of many reasons she chose to join our education-rich team. Throughout her career, she has sought advanced education including experiences with the inspirational Sassoon Santa Monica, the Zgat educators from Croatia, Jayne Mathews, Ira Pope Sage, Sharon Blain in New York, and many more.

Her impressive styling career began in 1999, when she graduated from the Aveda Institute, followed immediately by experience with Sassoon in LA for further advanced education. Mary earned an impeccable reputation spending 20 years at another respected Twin Cities salon where she was also an educator before joining the team at HAUS Salon in 2020.

Originally from the Washington DC area, Mary lives in Minneapolis with her two boys and her dog.
